SCHEDULE OF FEES  

Technical Services Including Investigation, Testing, Consulting, and Testimony in Floor Related Matters.  

EXTENT OF SERVICES:  

Fees Include time spent for investigation, research in an extensive personal library consisting of industry-related bound magazines, flooring industry specifications, photographs, training manuals, textbooks, MSD sheets, and installation guides, consulting, mediation, oral and basic written summary.  

RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY OWNERS

For a standard local inspection: (Dallas/Fort Worth & Within 60 Miles) 

Inspections: Wood Flooring of All Types and Issues, Subfloor inspections, crawl space inspections, Tile and Stone, Carpets and Carpeting Installation, Resilient Flooring (Vinyl Plank SPC Plank etc.), Concrete finish work, moisture testing, and repairs, showers, and baths projects, water restoration flooring failures and review of other company’s water restoration documentation provided to customers, report writing for your water restoration project, and much more.

⦿ Written Report: Full report includes most testing, photo exhibits, document review, building code, industry standards, manufacture requirements, written report, and contractor credentials investigation if requested. $2,500.00 Minimum and up (It all depends on the area size, number of trades, and the types and number of tests involved. Sometimes we send things to a lab and there are additional lab fees.)

⦿ Oral Walk-Through Inspection: Verbal Walk through ONLY And no written report $600.00  

All inspections and all fees must be paid up front in full before we will book an inspection.  Most inspections have a 2-3 week turn around time as they are very detailed and extensive.  Last minute and one week turn around inspections are available but cost more.

Out of State Inspections for a Standard Residential: Additional costs.

Tickets, travel time, and accommodations are not included in the report price. This additional cost will be billed and added on a case-by-case basis.

Commercial Inspections & Third-Party Inspections

Some testing available but not limited to: Many of these tests are included in the $2,500.00 report fee.  All these tests are required for tile, vinyl plank, and wood flooring installations.

1. NWFA Jobsite Checklist pre-inspection. Page 3 substrate evaluation for wood flooring: $800.00 Comes with a written checklist.

2. ASTM F2659 Electrical moisture meter testing: Slab must be unobstructed. $500.00

3. ASTM F3191 Porosity Test Standard Practice for Field Determination of Substrate Water Absorption (Porosity) $100.00 Key test skipped by many installers.

4. ASTM F710 – 21 PH Test for Alkalinity. $150.00 Will tell you if you have a slat problem that is the cause of many adhesive failures and tile grout turning white from salts is soil.

5. ASTM 1869-16a Standard Test Method for Measuring Moisture Vapor Emission Rate of Concrete Subfloor Using Anhydrous Calcium Chloride. $250 per test site. Normally 3 tests per 1,000SF and one for each 1,000SF their after is required.

6. ICRI Concrete surface profiles Test: ICRI Technical Guidelines No 310.2R-2013 Selecting and Specifying Concrete surface preparation for sealers, coatings, polymer overlays, and concrete repair. Pages 1-7 and Grinding page 16 and 17. Shot blasting page 30-31. $100.00

These are the most common tests.  Depending on your project we can do many more including destructive testing and sending off material to be testing in labs for flooring analysis.
